good point @ymb. I guess I am not too worried about pocketability as a netbook is portable enough for me. I guess I need something that can take a 3g connection and I can run linux on it to be able to access email and web.
@cybette I guess making the most out the device for me would be being able to power on fairly instantly. Also I like the hackability of the netbook not sure if you can do that with the N810. Can alternative Linux OS's be loaded on the N810 ?
I got the same mail. It would be an ok price if I hadn't seen the PC World sale for £80 and missed the ones at my local stores. You could try checking in your local PC World on the off chance (if you live in the UK).
@dsample: I just rang PCWorld and they are showing no stock. I guess they have all been cleared out now. If the roads clear I might venture to my local one and see if there is any left.

what do you plan to use the device for? a good investment is when you make the most out of a device :)

What @cybette said. Is "pocketable" important? If so, go tablet. If not, go netbook. It's almost that simple.

yep got that same email, with the £ being so weak, i am horribly tempted to get one.
Neither is a good investment, as they are both technology, and the value of that only falls ;) but as @cybette says, what are your plans.

@kenok: best place to answer your questions is at http://internettablettalk.com/forums/
But yes, the N810 is very open for its device class

Google's Froogle UK has the following to say about the pricing:
'nokia "n810 internet tablet" -charger -cable -protector -card > £30.00 - £200.00 > 3 stars and up '
http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=nokia+%22n810+internet+tablet%22+-charger+-cable+-protector+-card&btnG=Search+Products&show=dd&scoring=p&price1=30.00&price2=200.00&an0=merchantreview&ay0=3&af0=3&at0=5&ao0=3&lnk=merchant_review
